About this page

Almost every course on this page is taught by a club rather than a private school. In Milan, Accademia Scacchi Milano holds a junior course on Wednesday afternoons and a Sunday-morning school for children, Paul Morphy teaches children on Saturday mornings and has groups for adults, and Chess Projects runs an academy term from September to December, with groups from age six to adults, summer camps and projects in schools. Scacchi a Colori takes its workshops into Milan schools on weekday afternoons.

Beyond the city, Scuola Scacchi Cormano starts its youth courses in the town library and opens an adult group once enough people sign up; Lainate teaches children for free on Saturday mornings; Cinisello Balsamo offers a free trial lesson; Lissone lists courses for young people and adults; La Torre has opened a new seat in Canegrate with courses from September. Fees and the language of teaching are rarely published, so ask the club before enrolling.
